What Is Writer’s Block, Exactly?

Ok, I’m starting to get scared. Lately I’ve been having some trouble coming up with a word or phrasing that is usually right on the tip of my tongue. Things just aren’t flowing like they used to. When I try to find that word- that one word that I know is there, and is perfect, my brain just feels like…mush. What the hell is wrong with me?

I cannot believe I’m writing this, but for now it looks like I don’t need to be seeking out any new clients who will come here and read it and write me off, so … there it is.

So, is this a case of age? A prescription that I’m on? Summer and children underfoot? Am I all written out? Is that it?

Is this writer’s block? What exactly IS writers block? Will you take my poll?
