• Decidedly Do-Able From Another Nation

Random thoughts on travel & work:

Today on Twitter I was whining about the weather, and how it reminded me of happy, beautiful Mexico.

Most people who have read more than two sentences by me are aware of my adoration for all things Mexican- my husband and children included, lol. I recently stumbled upon a blog by an ex-pat living in an American colony in Jalisco, Mexico, and he was telling me how the infrastructure in his area is high quality, including his DSL internet.

My publisher and editor in chief left today for a one month stint teaching in Madrid, and we have no qualms that we’ll be able to keep the magazine going strong while he’s over there.

My family and I are camping geeks, too. We have one of those pop up campers that we tow to places that are decidedly non-wild- like KOAs, and other campgrounds with pools, spas and internet. Sure enough, I tend to spend some of my free camping time pulling up the wireless internet and click clacking away next to the fire.

I could do this job from just about anywhere, given the right infrastructure.

How about you? Where’s the oddest place you’ve written from? Do you write on vacation?
