Here’s a quickie update for the fellow freelance femmes out there in regards to the Holy Grail of the summer for many women:

Finding time to write.

Even with my closed door home office and staunch rejection of mixing working time and family time, I’m still scrambling. Well, I was, that is, until we took a deep breath and made some changes.

Remember that I had a daily schedule posted? One that supposedly gave me about 5 hours each day to work. Well, that turned into a big yeah, right.

The problem with that schedule is that I committed the dreaded sin: I mixed family time and work time. I multitasked. Tsk-tsk.

So, we’ve reconfigured, and if any of my fellow FFF (Freelance Femme Fatales) with kidlets running about are interested, here it is. Notice the hard barriers between work and the fam:

GWP Hours
Monday: Off
Tuesday: 11a-5p (6 hours, babysitter, cost of about $60)
Wednesday: 6:30p-10p (3.5 hours)
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 11a-5p (husband cares for anklebiters)
Satuday: OFF
Sunday: 1p-9p (husband cares for anklebiters, this is mostly About.com hours)
