Rates and terms are negotiable, but generally require a signed contract or Letter of Agreement and a 25% down payment for new clients. I cannot take on projects that bill at less than $150 total. These rates are based on the Editorial Freelancers Association table of rates. Typical Base Fees:
- $55/Hourly minimum
- $150/Project minimum
- Proofreading: 2 cents per word
- Editing: 3 cents to 5 cents per word
- ESL Editing 5 cents to 8 cents per word
- Writing: 25 cents to $1.00 per word
- Translation: 11 cents per word (for over 5000 words)
- Translation: 13 cents per word (for under 5000 words)
