• Give Away! Michelle Goodman’s “My So-Called Freelance Life”

    Your Freelancing Handbook

    Your Freelancing Handbook

I have in my hot little hands a BRAND NEW copy of Michelle Goodman’s “My So-Called Freelance Life.” This is the sophomore follow up to “The Anti 9-5” and both are a must read for the mompreneur, freelancer, consultant or cube exile. I reviewed the Anti 9-5 at About.com last year, and just reviewed My So-Called Freelance Life in December. (But the copy I am giving away is unread/unopened/virginal!)

Do you want it? All you have to do is make a comment on any post in this blog. I will save the notifications and have an uninterested third party (named The Husband) draw one winner. I will ship you the book at no cost to you (you will have to provide, privately, an address).

    Deadline Friday the 23rd!

    Hi,
Just want to say that as a fairly new writer, reciveing the Garden Wall email each week is so motivating. Also I i like the anti 9 to 5 website it gives a freshing look at freelancing.

    Goals can become reality!
    Cindy

  2. Rob says:

Just wanted to say that in addition to being a great writer, you’re kind of hot. hope the hubby doesn’t mind. I hope this qualifies :).

I have learned so much from you and my other Premium Green friends! I am also venturing into the great unknown(to me) world of blogging. You have helped inspire me to that!

  6. Ginny says:

Well, I just added My So-Called Freelance Life to my Amazon wish list last week, after reading your review of it at About. I would love to win it! Thanks for the opportunity!

  9. Landa says:

Thank you for the chance to win this book! I read your review and it appears to be just what I need. I love the title because that’s exactly how I feel! I’m just starting out and I’ve had a difficult time with respect to pricing my work.
    Thank you, Allena!

  10. bening says:

nice book… when I can read this book fully

  11. Jeff says:

Jeez, Rob has it all wrong! You aren’t kind of hot, you are VERY hot! And I’m thinking your hubby should be honored that other men find you hot. It says a lot about his taste in women. I know I find it complimentary that other’s think my wife is hot (I’m hoping you have a sense of humor about this “hot” thing). This is my first visit to your blog, and I will be back. And related to subject matter of this post, I am always looking for a way to avoid having an “employer”, so if something like this works for me I would never complain about it. :p

  12. Allena says:

You guys are sweet, but I feel the need to remind you that most photos are taken when someone is gussied up for something. 🙂 I probably feel the need for this disclaimer cause I am sitting in a coffee shop looking pretty wrong after a horrid workout and a deadline crunch. Now I have to go to my kids school and hide under my hood at pick up. 🙁

I should put up THAT picture.
